The RCM introduced a double-incuse Silver Maple Leaf (SML) coin in 2018, following up with Gold (2019) and black rhodium-plated (2020) versions. For 2021, they took art to all-new depths with the first Super Incuse SML.
The 2020 Rhodium-Plated 1 oz SML had a standard incuse depth of 0.3 mm, but thanks to new technology developed by our research and evelopment team, this coin’s intricately engraved maple leaf sits 1.5 mm below the coin’s surface – that’s nearly 40% of the coin gauge! With the addition of the Arboreal Anniversary (“25”) privy mark, your Super Incuse SML is a beautiful expression of a pride that runs deep for Canada’s maple tree.
