Key Features;
The Hawksbill turtle (Taku) is native to the warm, inviting waters of the southern Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and the Indian Ocean. Each year, these turtles migrate to the northern coast of the North Island of New Zealand, as well as some surrounding islands in the Pacific. The Hawksbill uses the warm, shallow waters in the area for breeding. Unfortunately, the Hawksbill turtle has been hunted extensively by mankind for its brightly colored and patterned shell.
Today, there are roughly 3,000 Hawksbill turtles that call the island of Fiji home. In recognition of their existence in the vital ecosystems of Fiji, the government commissioned the 5 oz. Silver New Zealand $10 Fiji Taku coin. Taku is the regional name that is used for the Hawksbill turtle.
On the obverse side of the coin, the Hawksbill turtle is engraved as it swims through the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Along one edge of the coin, the phrase “Fiji Taku” is stamped. On the other edge of the coin, the phrase “Fine Silver .999 5 oz.” is stamped. On the reverse side of the coin, investors will see the Fiji coat of arms and the date of minting. Along the bottom edge of the reverse side, the local denomination ($10) is stamped on the coin.

"Amazing service and hospitality from the staff at IDC! Jason was so attentive and patient in our search for our ideal watches. He took us through several options, had us try every watch we were interested in, took our information and continued searching for options. A few hours later, we had our watches on hold and ready for pick up! He located a watch that I LOVE, and a unique piece for my husband. We are grateful to have found our new Jeweler for many pieces to come!"
